The GAY Issue

Pennsylvania State Representative Daryl Metcalfe obviously has an obsession REGARDING HOMOSEXUALS and PANDERS to his constituents on the gay (marriage) issue. SO, LET'S TAKE AN HONEST LOOK AT DARYL METCALF'S OBSESSION WITH HOMOSEXUALS -- Eric Heyl adequately describes State Representative Metcalfe in his article in the TRIBUNE-REVIEW, Sunday, April 23, 2006 entitled "Metcalfe's proposal needless, unnecessary" --

"The Cranberry Republican has been getting considerable mileage out of his recent bill calling for a voter referendum on a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage in Pennsylvania. Metcalfe is determined to ensure that marriage stays an uplifting, spiritual union between a man and a woman that only occasionally results in bitter unhappiness, clinical depression, mid-afternoon binge drinking, chronic infidelity, noisy late-night arguments, broken furniture, protection-from-abuse orders and violent, premature death."

(NOTE: PA law does NOT permit homosexual marriages. Do NOT be fooled by the "activist judges" fear mongering song -- YOU, the public, ELECT judges. Daryl Metcalfe spent 4 months of 2006, and many more in 2007 & 2008 -- pandering and beating this drum and trying to WRITE DISCRIMINATION into the PA Constitution -- wasting tens of thousands of dollars of your tax dollars -- when he could have been helping people get AFFORDABLE HEALTH CARE OR PROPERTY TAX RELIEF legislation passed instead of pandering to the religious right fanatics.) DISCRIMINATION IS WRONG no matter how you slice or dice it. PANDERING is an intellectual insult to State Representative Daryl Metcalfe's constituents

RECENTLY the statistics have come in from those states which permit gay marriage. During the past 30 years heterosexual marriages have a national failure rate of over 50%. The homosexual marriages only have a divorce rate of 5%. Gee whiz, does that mean that gay folk are 1) better at marriage than heterosexuals, 2) more committed to one another, 3) are more mature and respectful of each other? Or is it maybe they are not hiding some deep dark secret from their partner or cheating because they don't get what they want at home?

INTERESTINGLY, In June 2006, Daryl Metcalfe told the viewing public (on PCNC's Night Talk program) that he "chose heterosexuality". HUH? Dare the voters ask WHEN he "chose" it, and AT WHAT AGE, and under WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES -- especially when human sexuality is widely known in intellectual circles as NOT something you choose? We have never ever heard a heterosexual proclaim to the world that he "chose" heterosexuality. Besides all that pandering hoopla -- What happened to that "Christian" concept of tolerance?

It is public record that Daryl Metcalfe's own behavior got him "noticed" by certain groups or people who may or may not actually be part of the KKK.

It IS time to reward Daryl Metcalfe's behavior with the opportunity for him to GET A REAL JOB and EARN A LIVING like common folk... when his constituents get tired of the embarrassment he brings to Western PA with his hate mongering and, after 10 years in office, not accomplishing a thing that he originally promised his constituents!
